It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Maxine Ruth Minter. Maxine passed away on Saturday August 26, 2017 and was in her 89 th year. Maxine was born in Denver, Colorado on May 22, 1928 to Lige Mitchell and Amelia Mitchell of Denver, and went to West High School. She had several jobs during her lifetime, starting at The Denver Theater, and then on to The May Company, several years at The First National Bank of Denver, and then a few with Master Card, and then spent several years in child care. Maxine was a witty, vivacious character with a great sense of humor. She loved her family fiercely and leaves behind her daughter Shannon Seney (Doug), and grandson Sean (Cheryl) from Winnipeg, Canada, her son Michael (Debbie), and grand-daughters Melissa (Zach), Michaela (Jason), and Hanna, who was her main caregiver and deliverer of Chick-Fil- A, Dr. Pepper and any necessary scoldings in her last few years. She also leaves behind 4 great-grandchildren; Olivia, Killian, Lilia, and Lochlan. Maxine is survived by her sister, Marjorie and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She is pre-deceased by her sons Patrick and Michael Rex, and siblings Juanita, Herbie, Dick, Bobby, and Jack. She was a great lady and will be sadly missed by all.
