Mavis Amelia Moos, loving wife, mother, and dedicated grandmother passed away Friday, December 16th, 2022. Born on January 11th, 1945, in Linton, ND to Carl and Freda Wolfer, she was one of four children. Mavis met and married Harry Jacob Moos in 1964, and later moved their family to Colorado in 1971. She was employed with the Department of the Interior in the Bureau of Reclamation as an Executive Secretary prior to her retirement in 2005 where she forged life-long friendships. After retirement, Mavis and Harry were able to fulfill their dream of owning a large enough RV to be able to travel for long periods of time. They were members of the RV club for several years and enjoyed taking their granddaughters along. Mavis enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing games and laughing. She was always in the stands and seats cheering on her granddaughters at sports games, plays, and concerts, and was an avid Denver Nuggets fan. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Married almost 55 years, she is survived by her two sons Steven (Sally) of Loveland, CO, and Kevin (Donna) of Berthoud, CO, granddaughters Stephanie Moos of Fruita, CO, Courtney Bovee (Alex) of Memphis, TN, Erica Moos of Boulder, CO, and Alyssa Moos of Colorado Springs, CO: sister Arlene Hausauer of Bismarck, ND, sister Diane Rasset of Mandan, ND, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry and brother Alton Wolfer.
