Dedicated herself to family, she was a jack of all trades employment wise. She waited tables, home daycare, worked in the receiving room at Joslins, Denver Teacher's Club, baliff, did secretarial work for Shaw Construction. Went back to collage as an adult and earned a Paralegal degree and worked in the legal profession. Becky was an avid book reader, puzzle fan, excellent baker brownies, cookies, cinnamon rolls and potica to name a few. She played the piano, loved to dance, and belted out every word to songs she couldn't name. She crocheted several blankets that she gifted to others. She was amazing with a sewing machine. She loved to gamble up in the hills-there wasn't a machine she couldn't make jingle. Becky was a supporter of most all door to door sales-encyclopedias, Rainbow vacuums, magazines-and most always they were invited in for dinner. Every summer you could find Becky and the kids at Del Mar Pool or Water World. Becky was a people person and had a real love for her family. Becky lost her own mother at 17, creating a strong bond with her siblings. She rose to the task of caring and attending to their needs, and then continued lifelong with others. There wasn't a person that she wouldn't reach out and help. Her house was always a home to whoever entered. Becky started several family traditions, lasagna on Christmas Eve. She hosted Christmas dinner for up to 40 people for several years-always making sure there was room for anyone without a place to go. Becky was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). It is terrible when your body fails you. We would ask that you reach out and tell everyone how much you love them. The entire family is strongly advocating researching this disease. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to AFTD. AFTD is the organization that educates and does research on FTD. http://www.theaftd.org. The name: Assn. for Frontotemporal Degeneration - named by those with the disorder. We ask if you can wear something blue to honor Becky's favorite color.
