Mark Richard Polston

February 25, 1959 - May 27, 2011 52, of Edgewater, Colorado, passed away on May 27, 2011. Mark was born on February 25, 1959 in Weisbauden, Germany to Helga Rohn Polston and Jimmy Polston. Jimmy who had a career in the Air Force before retiring from the Denver Sheriff's Department of Corrections, was a great influence on his son. During Mark's childhood he lived in many places including Libya, Panama, and numerous locations throughout the United States. He graduated from Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado. Mark married his first wife Lois and was blessed with two children Amanda and Rachel. His second wife Lisa gave him three more children, Nathan, Kayla and Josh. On May 13, 2000 Mark married Marcia Nelson-Polston. Marcia gave Mark Two more children Casey and Julie. Mark loved each and every one of his children. He loved his family and Marcia with most of his heart, God had the rest! Mark proudly served 12 years as a Denver County Sheriff. He later worked for CSC, a local security company. During his tenure with CSC Mark was a supervisor for two Super Bowls, a Rose Bowl, as well as for serveral national and international celebrities. Mark also worked for U.S. Securities where he was a supervisor for the Coors Field 24 Hour Team. Mark was recently employee of the month at U.S. Securities. Mark is survived by his wife of 11 years, Marcia; children, Amanda Polston, Rachel Polston, Kayla Polston, Josh Polston, Nathan Radocy, Casey Danjou, and Julie Banke; grand children, Paris, Cory, Zephaniah, Zoe, Kahlee, Tony, Bryce, Lelani, Bohn, Tyler, and Chris; father Jimmy Polston (Annie); brother, Paul Polston (Cathy); nieces Mattie and Megan; and nephew Tim. He was preceded in death by his mother Helga Keefer. A memorial service will be held for Mark on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Faith Bible Chapel Family Worship Center, located at 6250 Wright St. Arvada, CO (near 62nd and Ward). There will be a reception following services. A small ceremony after the reception will be held at Mount Olivet Cemtery 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
