Lydia Garcia Mercado Robles

December 26, 1951 — March 31, 2024

Lydia Garcia Mercado Robles, age 72, passed away in the early Colorado morning on Sunday, March 31st, 2024.

She was orphaned by her parents, Flor and Wencesla, at the age of 4. She is survived by her 5 children, Patricia Carrer Garcia (53), Ruth Espi Garcia(46), Caleb Aubin Manzano Garcia(38), Wilma Lennette Preciado Garcia(37) and Vivian Stephanie Shannon Robles Garcia(31), and 6 grandchildren, Christian Josue Pagan Carrer(34), Karla Michelle Pagan(31), Bryan Javier Lopez Garcia(29), Julieann Ruth Contreras Garcia(25), Olivia Lennette Shannon (4), and David Manuel Shannon(2) and 3 great-grandchildren, Mia Giselle Pagan Coello(12), Lia Michelle Pagan Coello(2.5) and Jaxon Edward Stackhouse Pagan(2). She was also survived by Manuel Enrique Preciado (30), whom went above and beyond in his care for his mother-in-law. She loved and respected Manuel’s attention to both her and her daughter.

She was a woman of faith whom God blessed abundantly with an ever-growing family, who loved and respected her for every sacrifice, big and small, she made. She was a very dedicated woman. A hard-working woman. Anything she put her mind to she excelled beyond anyone’s expectations. She spent most of her life in school. It was in her blood to help others, but especially babies, as her greatest achievement was graduating and working as an LPN. Her major gift from God was being the best seamstress we had ever seen, of course we are biased. Her talents allowed her to express her love for her children in many ways but making our clothing/uniforms was the biggest.
