April 4, 1926 - October 17, 2012 Lucinda (Lucy) Marie Vigil, 86, of Rocky Ford, formerly of Erie, CO passed away October 17, 2012 in Arvada. She was born April 4, 1926 in Cimarron, NM to the late Antonio and Mercedes Gonzales, in addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Magdaleno, her children, Leroy and Timmy; grandchildren, Annie Vigil, Abraham Minjarez, Raquel Sanchez, Russel Dunham, and Amanda Vigil; 8 brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Annie, Lena, Moncia, Joe, Neo, John, and Manual. She is survived by her children, Dolores Bares(Jeff), Beatrice (Frank), Margie, Anthony Vigil (Olga), Michael Vigil, Ernie Vigil, Tom Vigil (Francine), Dires Grant (Brain), Johnny Vigil, Rick Vigil (Nicole), David Vigil, Magdalena Garcia (Jesse), Adam Vigil (Tanya) 42 Grandchildren , 49 Great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rosary services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 715 Cabrini Dr. Lafayette, CO 80026. Mass is begin at 11:00 am in the church Rev. Bob Ammonson officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 pm at the graveside of the Erie Cemetery, Erie, Colorado. Serving her as pallbearers will be Debra Montoya, Cherisse Vigil, Kitty Vigil, Nichole Romero, Ashley Sanchez, Serena Franchitti, Shannon Vigil, Kayla Vigil, Launa Chavez, and Chanel Sanchez. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home of Arvada.
