Louise Catherine Simpson 1926-2015 Louise Catherine Froelich Knooren Simpson passed away on January 14, 2015. She was 88 years old. She was an original Jersey girl born in Camden, NJ, on October 31, 1926. She later moved to her all time favorite place Ocean City, NJ sharing many happy days there with her family. Late in life, she moved again to Centennial, Colorado, living with her daughter Victoria and her family. This was an opportunity that she cherished since she helped take care of her youngest grand-daughter , Ashlynn, giving her a renewed sense of purpose in life. She is survived by a large loving family: her brother Leo Froelich of Florida; daughters Victoria (Robert) Bailey of Colorado; JoAnn (Geoffrey) Hamburg of New York; sons Joseph Peter( Patricia) Knooren of New Jersey and Stephen (Jodi) Knooren of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren: Kristina (Robert) Bell, Robin Bailey, Jennifer (Gary Sottosanti) Penton, Todd (Kristi) Bailey, Trisha (Thomas) Knooren-Lewin, Jody (Tim) Marchionese, Peter (Cara) Knooren, Stephen Knooren Jr. , Chrisitine Knooren and Ashlynn Bailey: eight great-grandchildren: Martha Litardo, Aaron Bailey, Brandon and Caroline Bell, Olivia Lewin, Scott,Elise and Joseph Knooren. Many thanks to the Mapleton Care Center staff who became her second family providing much loving care in her final years which was appreciated immensely by her immediate family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Burial will be private back in her home state of New Jersey at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Association or Optum Hospice of Colorado.
