July 19, 1944 ~ November 15, 2015 71, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Denver, Colorado.  Born July 19, 1944 in Lincoln, IL, Leon grew up in Mt. Pulaski, IL and moved to Colorado in 1981.  Leon was a lifelong entrepreneur, an avid fisherman and a sprint car racing enthusiast.  He enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. with his family and friends. Leon is survived by two children, Deborah (Allen) Stewart of Brighton, CO and David (Janet) Goodman of Crestwood, KY; former spouse, Jana Rockwell of Louisville, KY; four granddaughters, Stephanie, Allison, Leanna, and Ashley; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Will, Noah, Akiles and Scarlett; siblings include Loretta Merold of Mt. Pulaski, IL; Richard “Dick” Goodman of Taylorville, IL; and Jane McDonnough of Mt. Pulaski, IL; and close, long-time friend Terry Essig of Broomfield, CO and her granddaughter Hannah. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon and Norma Goodman of Mt. Pulaski, IL; and sister, Marilyn Beggs of Mt. Pulaski, IL; and grandson, Christopher Goodman of Crestwood, KY. He will be interred in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, IL.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Tony Stewart Foundation www.tonystewartfoundation.org.
