Leon “Dave” Davidson, 81, died Sunday, March 18, 2018. Born on July 21, 1936 in Big Spring, TX, Leon retired after 20 years with the US Air Force, played lead guitar and lead singer in several country and western bands as well as security for the Brown Palace Hotel. Leon was preceded in death by his beloved son, Lawrence “Sam” Davidson as well as parents Fred and Hattie Davidson. He is survived by his wife, Emilie Davidson, daughter Laura (Matthew) Smith, grandchildren Justin Smith, Lacey (Will) Ridnour, Micheal Davidson, Kyle Davidson, Jake Smith and Randy Davidson as well as great grandchildren Penelope, Elijah and Scarlet Ridnour and Jordan Davidson. Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Malesich & Shirey Funeral Home.
