March 27, 1919 ~ January 26, 2016     In Loving Memory, Never to be Forgotten Born in Denver Colorado, March 27, 1919, graduate of West High School class of 1937. Inducted into the Army in January 1942 at Fort Logan Colorado with a military occupational specialty of carpenter instructor. Assigned to the 24th Combat Mapping Squadron and spent time in the central Pacific, India. Decorations and citations include American Theater Asiatic-Pacific Good Conduct Victory Medal. Joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 1941 and after more than 50 years of continuous membership was granted a Life Membership. He met his wife, Mildred, of 66 years while working on a high school in Borger TX where she was teaching. He is survived by his wife Mildred, son Darrell and his wife Cecylia, sons Dale, and Alan, Grandchildren Carolyn and Lucas and great grand-daughter Matea. Services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area C 2:15 PM
