Lawrence "Larry" Matsumura

Lawrence “Larry” Matsumura 86, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on March 30, 2020 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was born in Hilo, Hawaii on August 20, 1933, the son of Saburo Matsumura and Kama Taba. Larry lived on Oahu where he worked as a cabinet maker for many years until he moved to Colorado in 2006. He enjoyed all UH Rainbow Warrior sports – especially football, golfing with family and friends, and good sashimi and poke. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Perry Hackwell) Irish; son, Paul Matsumura; two granddaughters, Amber Irish and Amanda Irish; two sisters, Sumiko Bento and Loretta “Haru” Mukai; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Janice Matsumura.
