Larry was born to Dorothy Lintine Hoyle and Russell McCoy Hoyle, Sr. and raised in Cheraw, South Carolina.  He graduated high school at Cheraw in 1970, and joined the United States Air Force in 1972, which he retired in 1996, as an SMSGT.  Larry was awarded many commendation medals and received his BS degree while serving his country.  After retirement, he moved to Denver and began a second career in volunteering in several animal shelters and a non-profit agency.  He was instrumental in helping at the MAX Fund in Denver, he worked for the Hemophilia Society and his last volunteer job was at the Cat Care Society.  Larry also often took a vacation to Lampoc, CA, were he also volunteered at a cat shelter.  Volunteering at his church, Highlands United Methodist Church, was a high priority for him as he enjoyed performing many different tasks associated with the church and it's outreach.  Larry was most generous with his time, his talents, his resources and his unconditional love.  His special gift with caring for animals is known throughout the city.  Larry loved his neighborhood and was an avid walker around the Sloan's Lake area.  His love of music often found him at his piano playing and singing out of an old Baptist hymnal and many other music books that he had.  His computer savvy was well known and he timelessly helped many with any computer problem that arose and assisted with decisions in purchasing a computer.  Larry was preceded in death by his father, Russell McCoy Hoyle Sr., and brother, Russell McCoy Hoyle Jr.  He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lintine Hoyle, sisters, Sadie Murphy, Patricia Ann Hostetler, Mary Linda Fincher, Phyliss Jeannete Johnson and brother, Jimmy Lee Hoyle.  Also, surviving Larry are his beloved cat family of Mr. Brett Colin, Ms Jeanette and Ms Brigett.  Larry leaves behind countless friends, neighbors and former co-workers that will all miss his wonderful smile, his sharp sense of humor and his unconditional love and acceptance of everyone.  Services are on Monday, 08-17-15, 10:00 AM at Highlands Methodist Church, 32nd and Osceola in Denver, CO.  Viewing will be at 9:30 AM prior to the service. Internment will be 08-18-15, 10:30 AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Lakewood, CO, staging area B, North Entrance, second right turn.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the Cat Care Society, 5787 W. 6th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80214 or Highlands United Methodist Church, 3131 Osceola St., Denver, CO 80212, are welcomed.
