Beloved husband, father, uncle and brother, Larry Bob Garcia, passed into Glory on December 30, 2021 at the age of 71. A native Coloradan, he was born in the small south-central town of Center, Colorado. He grew up in the heart of Denver and, in his later years, enjoyed his mountain cabin where he spent many summers happily restoring the riverside property. He retired from a career in cabinetmaking, but never retired his tools. Bob will be remembered as a wonderfully funny guy, always telling a joke, or two, or three, or as many as the listener would allow. He gave friends and family the gift of true joyous laughter. He will be as easily remembered by all as a man of deep empathy, humility and integrity. Honesty and great faith were foremost traits, but he offered so much more of himself. He helped all who were in need, both with his hands and with his loving heart. His ministry at the Mission Arvada day shelter for the homeless community really exemplifies Bob's unselfish nature. Bob deeply loved his family, wife Geri and his two sons, David and Kenny as well as his sister Joyce, his in-laws, and nieces and nephews. Bob was a voracious reader who enjoyed everything from science fiction to gun safety and backwoods cooking (which is especially humorous because Bob could not cook). Bob was a Bible scholar who especially enjoyed studying from the Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic versions of the Bible. He is survived by Geri, his wife of 43 years, his sons David and Ken as well as his sister Joyce. A celebration of life will be held at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada on February 17th at 1:30pm. Reception to follow. Due to the great love Bob had for his Howard property, his ashes will be spread at his favorite spot near the river.
