December 13, 1955 - June 19, 2014 Kris Allen Brown, age 58, passed away at his home in Henderson, Colorado on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Born on December 13, 1955 in San Diego, California, he was named after the favorite character Kris Kringle (Santa Claus!) from the original 1947 classic Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street. Kris was a brilliant man, gifted with exceptionally high intelligence. He Held a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, with undergraduate studies in Modern and Classical Control Theory. After a tour in the United States Marine Corps, he became accomplished in numerous professional specialties, which included business proprietorship and contracting. He was expert in computer technologies, controls engineering, programming, and systems integration. Kris was recognized for pioneering advanced instrument design of plasma displays and monitoring devices that were used in nuclear and military-grade applications. He had a vast scope of life experiences that took him around the world, which made him a very interesting person to be around and gave him countless stories to share! Kris loved living life to its fullest and thoroughly enjoyed his many interests and hobbies. He was a master gunsmith, and he also loved fishing and wild-game hunting with his dog. Kris is survived by his spouse, six children and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-mother, two siblings, and nieces, nephews, and their children. He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents. Kris was cremated and, according to his wishes, his ashes will be spread in his favorite places in the California desert. We are grateful to have shared this life with him and we will miss him very much.
