May 5, 1929 ~ July 9, 2015 Kenneth Rawlin Jeffries was born on May 5, 1929 to Jewell and Hazel Jeffries in Spavinaw, Mayes County, Oklahoma. Kenneth was the oldest son of seven children The family moved to Lamar, Colorado in 1933. In 1948 the family moved again, this time to Littleton, Colorado, where they had acreage they farmed. That property is now owned and occupied by Burt Chevrolet. In 1950 Kenneth married Fredona Jo Minshall. As newlyweds they lived in Wheat Ridge, CO, later moving to Arvada, CO. Kenneth served in the United States Army from 1954-1956, completing his basic training at Fort Ord in California, then onto Anchorage Alaska.  Kenneth and Jo had two daughters – Sharon Zaroban and Janell Bird. Kenneth worked for the Public Service Company and after thirty five years as a lineman retired in 1984. In his retirement years he worked for A Child’s Reflection and also at Olinger Mortuary. In 1997 Kenneth married Jill Vaughan, they lived in Arvada, CO Kenneth’s love of the Lord was first, then came his children and family. He loved music, especially Hymns and Southern Gospel, He also enjoyed old cars. He owned and restored many different makes and models over the years.  He also loved camping, fishing, hunting and vacations with his family. One hunting trip with his brothers-in-law, Kenneth shot a bear and used the bear skin for many years to scare  daughters, nieces and nephews or any other unassuming folks. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jill Jeffries, daughter Sherri Zaroban and her husband Larry, grandson, Jeremiah, granddaughter Heidi Duran (Chris), and great grandson, Jace Duran; daughter Janell Bird, her husband Richard, granddaughters Heather Conley (Jason) and Monique Graham (Jason). Kenneth is also survived by brothers Lorin, Donald and Jim, sister, Littie Bea. After a lengthy illness, Kenneth entered Heaven on Thursday, July 9, 2015. Memorial service 5:00 PM Monday July 20th at The MAC Community Center 3295 W. 72nd. Ave. Westminster, CO 80030.  Interment 10:00 AM  (Staging Area "A"), Tuesday July 21, 2015 at  Fort Logan National Cemetery.
