Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) Collins Kenneth Cardell Collins was born on January 20, 1975 in Denver, Colorado to the parents of Burdell M. Collins and Kenneth Cardell Tave (deceased). He was the apple of his grandparent’s eye Minnie J. Collins (Bam- ma) and Elder Theodore Collins (Poppa) and Jessie Tave both (deceased) They loved spoiling Kenny along with his aunt Regina Jordan and uncles Teddy, Eddie and Elliott Collins all three (deceased). Educated in the Denver Public School system, he graduated from Thomas Jefferson in Denver and continued his education attending Emily Griffin Opportunity School pursuing training for a career in audio engineering. He loved working with audio equipment. Kenny was united in marriage to Lyzette Jenkins for several years. To this union one daughter was born Eman’ye Collins. She was the love of her father’s life. Kenny was a loving and caring person; he never met a stranger. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He loved to fish, coach on various football leagues. He joined Prince of Peace Church of God and Christ. He learned to operate the audio equipment for the Prince of Peace choir. He loved attending choir rehearsal and the choir members each loved and supported Kenny. He loved his home and church family. On Monday, November 20, 2017, the sun set on Kenny and he was called from labor to eternal life with Christ. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Burdell M. Collins, Grandmother Minnie J. Collins, daughter Eman’ye Collins, brothers, Kardell L. Collins and Deshawn A. Mayberry, sisters Rene’e and Lisa Scott all of Denver; aunt Regina (Leerollins) Jordan, Devoted friend Shannon Walker and beloved daughter. Kenny’s childhood friends (brothers) Mikkel Knight and Lance Grace. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Rest in Peace… Kenny, we love you!!
