Kathy Jo Wegner (Fightmaster)

66,of Wheat Ridge, CO, passed away suddenly, due to complications from lung surgery , on September 2,2017. Kathy was born January 7,1951, in Denver, Colorado to Lynn and Shirley Fightmaster. She grew up in Wheat Ridge, attended Fruitdale Elementary and Wheat Ridge High school. She attended CSU and lived and raised her sons in Ft. Collins, CO. She then married Rob James and moved to Victor, CO, until 2007 when they moved back to Wheat Ridge. Kathy worked for Hewlett-Packard in Ft. Collins, Loveland, and Colorado Springs. She also worked for The Ute Pass Courrier newspaper and Bronco Billys Casino while she lived in Victor. After moving back to Wheat Ridge she found work at Lax, a manufacturer of medical implants, which was bought by Zimmer-Biomet. She met and loved many friends at all of these jobs. It was Kathy’s love for her family and all her extended family that had no limits. She was undoubtedly her happiest when playing with her grand children and nieces and nephews! They truly brought out all of her love. To all of us who knew her Kathy’s love will be truly missed. Kathy is survived by her husband Rob James and three sons, Jason, Peter and Brian, all of Ft. Collins. She has three brothers Mike(Vicki) of Gunnison, Brad(Theresa) and Greg(Kris) in Ft. Collins. There will be a memorial service celebrating Kathy Saturday, September 30,at 5:00pm, at The Arbor House, 14600 W.32nd Ave, Golden CO. All friends are invited.
