November 23, 1956 - June 4, 2014 Katherine (Kathi) Jo Lawton joined the kingdom of angels at the age of 57 on Wednesday June 4th 2014 in Wheatridge, Colorado from a battle with cancer. Kathi was born on November 23, 1956 in Riverside, California to Marjorie Losee and Walter Luty. She was one of two children raised in Poughkeepsie, New York where Kathi resided most of her life and graduated from Arlington High School. She was married and widowed to Donald F. Lawton. Kathi was later engaged and preceded to heaven by James Anderson. Kathi enjoyed socializing with her many friends especially "The Grill Gang". She also found love being in the water and became a certified lifeguard. Kathi was a 20 year employee with the New York State School District. She enjoyed working with the children. Kathi eventually moved to Colorado to be with her kids and grandkids where she fell in love with the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and became a proud member of Advent Lutheran Church. Kathi is gracefully survived by sons William Charles Lewis Jr. and Denny John Lewis. Along with daughter in law Jennifer Lynn Lewis and grandchildren Amber Rose, Tabyn William and Kamden John Lewis, her trusty beagle Hunter and curious cat Bobo; all residents of Arvada, Colorado. She will be woefully missed by friends and family in New York. Services will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 7979 Meade St, Westminster, Co 80030 on Saturday June 21st at 2:00pm. The celebration of her life/BBQ will be at 7630 Meade St, Westminster, Co 80030 after the service.
