Katherine Ann Arbogast

Katherine Ann Arbogast passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018 at Porter Hospice after a long battle with cancer. Kathy was born June 4, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa to Irvin and Marilyn Lange. Their family spent most of their childhood traveling alongside Irvin who was in the United States Air Force. In 1971, they established roots in Aurora, Colorado. Kathy attended and graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1977. She then married her high school sweetheart, Ed in 1978 and they shared 37 years of marriage until Ed passed in 2015. For 30 of those years, Kathy worked at Goldrick Elementary where she encouraged, developed and assisted hundreds of children along with growing some amazing friendships. Being a mother was an important duty that she did not take lightly, Kathy enjoyed supporting her children at sporting events, band and choir concerts or award ceremonies. Kathy is survived by her parents Irvin and Marilyn Lange, siblings Ken Lange (Debbie), Keith Lange, and Kelly Henderson (Joel), daughters Christina Parra (Gabe), Emily Nelson (Nick) and Lilly Arbogast, grandchildren Gianna and Major Nelson and Benjamin and Ava Parra, along with many nieces, nephews, beloved friends and adopted children. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Ed, daughter Elizabeth, brother in love Rick. The main concern for Kathy in the past 13 years has been her youngest daughter, Lilly, in lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Lilly A. Arbogast College Fund at any KeyBank branch. Services: Rosary will be held at 9:00 am and a Funeral Mass will follow at 10am on Wednesday, January 17, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Denver. Reception to follow.
