Juliann Talosi Lopresto

January 25, 1941 — May 27, 2023

On May 27, 2023, at the age of 82, Juliann (Talosi) Lopresto, suddenly passed away surrounded by loved ones at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Gone way too soon, Juliann filled the world with so much laughter and love that she vivaciously spread that feeling to all that she met. She never missed an opportunity to greet and embrace someone new or to tell a beloved family member or friend just how much and why they meant so much to her. She was unabashed in demonstrating her warm feelings, never with a hint of reluctance.

Juliann was born in Detroit, Michigan to Theresa and George Talosi and spent her early years in a Hungarian community called Del Ray where she mastered the difficult Hungarian language proficient enough to serve as a six-year-old interpreter for Hungarian refugees just moving to the area. She was the oldest of six children and quickly became a feisty role-model for her younger siblings. Juliann completed high school in 1959 in Garden City (now Westland) Michigan. Around 1965, in her mid-20’s Juliann moved to the beautiful state of California with her brother George, and never looked back. She loved California and quickly developed life-long meaningful friendships within the community of Burlingame, where she also met Theresa’s father, Jim Lopresto. In the 80’s Juliann moved to Lakewood, CO., to be closer to family and quickly came to appreciate Colorado’s beauty and built a beautiful life for herself and a wonderful foundation for her family. Juliann worked all her life as a receptionist, a job that perfectly suited her outgoing personality. Friendliness was her calling card, which motivated many co-workers to keep in touch throughout the years. She lit up every single person’s life she touched, and she will be greatly and eternally missed.

Juliann is survived by her daughter Theresa Shaffer (Robert Willison), grandchildren Rebecca Rendon (Moses Rendon) and Austin Shaffer, great granddaughter Penelope Rendon, brother George Talosi, sisters Theresa Dent and Shirley Collins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Juliann’s family would love to invite everyone who loved her dearly to join them to celebrate the amazing life she lived. The Celebration of Life will be held at The Vista at The Applewood Golf Course, at 14001 W 32nd Ave, Golden, CO 80401, at 3pm on Sunday, June 25. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

In Juliann’s honor all donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
