Judith E. Creed

November 10, 1944 - October 5, 2014 Judith Ellen (Chew) Creed was born November 10, 1944 in Holton, Maine. Her formative years were spent in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Belleview, Nebraska. She received a scholarship to attend beauty school in Columbus, Nebraska. Eventually, she settled in Denver, Colorado where she raised four daughters: Angie, Sonja, Holly, and Colleen, as well as a handful of neighborhood kids. Before marrying Bear in 1982, Judy ran a summer camp kitchen through the Lutheran church for five summers. She combined her love for kids and her skills in cooking and management to serve as a cafeteria manager for over thirty years. Bear and Judy enjoyed country dancing, participating in chili cook-offs and shopping for antiques across the Midwest. If she wasn't in her garden, she was cheering on her grandkids' baseball games and other activities. She loved celebrating any and every holiday. Judy was wife, mom, sister, friend, “cuz”, and grandma to her family. They will miss her presence everyday. She peacefully entered Eternal Rest on Sunday, October 5, 2014. May her memory be eternal! A holiday tree will be decorated in her memory. Ornaments celebrating the holidays can be sent to 17208 West 15th Ave. Golden, CO 80401 or brought to the service, which will be held on Friday, October 10th at Faith Lutheran Church of Golden.
