March 13, 1923 - February 8, 2012 Juanita Marie PalmerĀ passed away on Feb. 8, 2012 at age 88 after losing a fight with Alzheimer's. Juanita was born in Kiowa, CO on March 13, 1923 to Albert and Elizabeth Geiser. The family moved to Arvada in 1932 where Juanita lived until she married Isaac Palmer in 1940. She and Isaac lived together in Lakewood until Isaac got a job with the Bureau of Reclamation and moved them to Green Mountain Reservoir near Kremmling, CO. In 1943 they had twins, Helen Rose and Harold Charles. They moved into Kremmling in 1957 and lived there until divorcing in 1959. Juanita went to work at Continental Trailways as a ticket agent from 1959 - 1962 when she moved to CA. She lived there working as a cook in hospitals and nursing homes until she returned to CO. Upon moving back she returned to Trailways in 1970 and retired from there in 1988. After retirement she moved to Brinkley, Arkansas and lived there until 2007 when she once again returned home to Colorado. She lived out the rest of her days at Mountain Vista Health Center. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo and Paul Geiser of CA; sisters, Bertha Geiser of CO and Maxine Downard of Washington; and daughter Helen Oxner of Brinkley, AR. She is survived by her son Harold (Judy) Palmer of Nathrop, CO; brothers, Carlyle (Rose) Geiser of Whittier, CA, Donald (Evelyn) Geiser and Dewey (Mary) Geiser of Arvada, CO; sisters, Joyce Norton and Claire (Max) Haug of Arvada, CO; grandsons, Rusty Crowell of Higden, AR and Eric Palmer of San Diego, CA; granddaughter Julie Hickins of Beuna Vista, CO; as well as numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
