Our Mom Joyce Elinor (Hyde) Taylor was born on May 1st, 1938 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We lost our mom on Oct 23, 2023, she was 85 years old. Mom was beautiful inside and out, she always had a big smile and a contagious laugh. Mom/ Grandma/ Great Grandma always gave big hugs and kisses. Her Great Grandchildren adored her, and they always went to her TV room to see her.
Joyce had a big heart; she was so kind and loving to everyone. Joyce grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was one of eight children. Joyce met Bob (Our Dad) at a roller-skating rink. They got married after mom graduated high school on June 2, 1957. Joyce and Bob had 4 children. Our Mom and Dad brought us up in a Christian home. Every Sunday we went to Church and all of us went to youth group. Faith and Love were taught to us growing up. Mom was a very good cook and loved to bake. When our mom made pancakes, she stacked them so high. My sister and I watched our brothers have a pancake eating contest.
Joyce worked many years and then was a fulltime housewife. Mom loved sewing and knitting; she made scarves for everyone. Mom and Dad traveled a lot, went on cruises, mom loved the beach, mountains and enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed road trips in their many RVs to see family. Mom loved the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies, a big fan.
Mom/ Grandma/ Great Grandma was so full of life, she always had a big smile, and she will be missed so much. Mom will live forever in our hearts and mom's amazing spirit is now at peace. She is now with her husband Bob (Our Dad).
In Loving Memory, Joyce will be Cherished by those she left behind. Including her Children Bob (Diane), Mike (Pam), Shari (Brian), Robin (Mike). Grandchildren Rachel (Chris), Brock (Jess), Ashley, Zachary, Nick, Pam, Jessica, Jennifer (Shawn), Brittany (Rich). Great Grandchildren Kayden, Jensen, Liam, Quinn, Patrick, Gabby, Jasper, Sydney, Ivy, Tatiyanna, Senna, Xander, Liam. Also, survived by her, Sister Jan, Brother Syd (Sandy), and extended family members and friends.
