Joseph Frank Velotta Sr.

Mr. Joseph Frank Velotta Sr. died peacefully in his home on September 2, 2016 in Wheat Ridge, CO at the age of 80. Joseph is survived by his children: Lori Hannagan of Tulsa, OK; Joell Velotta of Aurora CO; and Joseph Velotta Jr. of Broomfield, CO. His grandchildren: Todd Hannagan of Tulsa, OK; Shawn Velotta of Lakewood, CO; Chad Hannagan of Tulsa, OK; and Jasmine Velotta of Broomfield, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents: Dominic and Palina Velotta of Denver, CO. His wife: Josephine Velotta of Wheatridge, CO. His sister: Phyllis of Denver, CO. Joseph was born on November 11, 1935 in Denver, CO to Dominic and Palina Velotta Joseph attended Mt. Carmel High School and graduated in 1955. He enlisted in the Navy on February 28, 1956. He received a Good Conduct Medal. He was released to inactive duty on January 27, 1960. A rosary and mass is scheduled for 9:30 am on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 3549 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211. A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Highland Mortuary & Cemetery 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO with a reception following at The MAC, 3295 W 72nd Ave, Westminster, CO 80030.
