Joseph Elfido Montoya, 78, of Northglenn, Colorado passed away on May 12, 2017 in Northglenn, Colorado. Joseph was born in Vigil, Colorado to Zac and Francis Montoya on September 23, 1938. He married RoseAnn Montoya on December 26, 1957 in Brighton, Colorado. Joseph worked hard his entire life in the masonry industry. He owned his own masonry company, JEMS, for over 25 years, and built a number of Colorado monuments such as the Eisenhower Tunnel, Coors Field and the Denver International Airport. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife RoseAnn Montoya and son Ricky Jay Montoya. Joseph is survived by his son Joseph Montoya (Kim Montoya), daughter Dianna Lammey (Joe Ellis), grandchildren Jennifer Friede "Big Brat" (Kevin Friede), Tania Spano "Medium Brat" (Chris Spano) and Ashley Montoya "Baby Brat". Joe is also survived by his two brothers and four sisters, Elmer, Filbert, Priscilla, Corrine, Phyllis and Betty. Joseph was always surrounded by love by his many family members including cousins, nephews, and nieces. Family will be notified of services that are to occur at the end of June.
