April 26, 1949 - October 9, 2013 Jose "Eusebio" Lucero. On the afternoon of October 9, 2013, Jose passed away at The Denver Hospice after complication with his 20 year battle with diabetes. At his passing he was comforted by his spouse of 41 years, Rebecca Lucero. Jose was born on April 26, 1949 and had lived in Las Vegas, NM for his adolescent years. Jose attended Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM after graduating from West Las Vegas High School in 1969. Jose and Rebecca made their home in Commerce City, CO since 1972. Jose enjoyed fishing, fly-fishing tying making and leather working. Jose was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. He also took great pride and pleasure in teaching and playing with his grandchildren. Jose will be deeply missed and loved. Jose was preceded in death by his parents Cecilio Sr. Frances Lucero; sisters, Mary Lucero, Rumalda Torres, Ida Alderete; brother-in-law, John Alderete and sister-in-law, Frances G. Lucero. Jose is survived by his spouse Rebecca Lucero and children Rosa Lucero of Thornton, CO, Ronnie Lucero and wife Connie of Commerce City, CO and Olivia Lucero of Commerce City, CO. Along with his six grandchildren; Zack Day, Anthony Lucero, Xanatos Lucero, Xander Lucero, Ariana Montoya and Elias Montoya. His surviving siblings are Tony Lucero and wife, Della of San Pedro CA, Augustine Lucero and wife, Adeline, Cecilio Lucero Jr. and wife, Eloisa of Las Vegas NM, Leroy Lucero of La Junta CO and Lorraine Gutierrez and husband Lloyd Trujillo of Santé Fe NM. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Thrive Church, 2820 West 92nd Avenue Federal Heights, CO 80260 at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013.
