Jonathan (Jon) Clinton Palmer

March 18, 1979 - May 16, 2014 Jon, 35, took a bad fall on May 5th, we believe as the result of a seizure. After some improvement initially, he passed away from a traumatic brain injury at St Anthony's Hospital on Friday, May 16th. He is survived by his parents, Gary Susan Palmer of Coal Creek Canyon, his sister Melissa Palmer of Arvada, his brother Tim Palmer and wife Robin of Westminster, his grandmother Cortney Chesnick of Wheat Ridge, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and 5 nephews and a niece. Jon worked most recently at The Wondervu Café. Jon loved to spend time with his family and friends, and he loved to fish. We will miss him greatly: his smile, his kind ways, and his gentle spirit. Funeral Service Details: 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Arvada Covenant Church located at 5555 Ward Road (Arvada). A viewing will take place 1 hour prior to service time with a reception to follow the funeral service in the church narthex. Burial in Golden Cemetery located at 755 Ulysses Street (Golden) at 2:00 PM following the reception. A memorial fund has been established in Jon's name at Alaska Christian College, which was founded in 2001 for native Alaskan students by Jon's youth pastor.
