John Franklin Trent

February 2, 1939 — August 25, 2018

John Franklin Trent was born on February 2, 1939 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Ernest and Fannie (Saunders) Trent. He departed this life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Mountain Vista Senior Living Community. He served in the United States Army and ended his career as a Sergeant. He went on to work as a plumber in multiple states throughout his life. He served as Mayor of the Town of Silverthorne and the Coroner of Summit County where the town presented him with a park in his name, Trent Park. It was for the many contributions that he made for the town and the county. He also worked as the Public Works Director for the City of Las Animas in which he helped that community obtain a grant to build a reverse osmosis system so the drinking water would be good enough to drink. He finally retired at the age of 65. He is preceded in death by his wife Esther Trent and leaves to cherish his memory a new wife, Nancy Trent, three daughters: Sharon McCormick of Virginia, Shelly Trent and Laura Ramsey of Colorado, two sons: John Trent and Thomas Trent of Colorado, and two stepsons: Robert O’Conner and Steven O’Conner both of Colorado, and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. John’s celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo, Colorado.
