September 14, 1947 - September 30, 2011 John passed away September 30, 2011 in Federal Heights, Colorado after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family. John was born September 14, 1947 in Torrance, California. He lived in Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Thornton, Colorado in the mid 60's. He is preceded in death by his father Perry Otto and mother Marie Duerst of Nebraska. He is survived by his children Katrina and Jonathan Otto (Christi) four grandchildren, Jon Robert, Tsai, Rebecca and Abigail, his sister Carolyn Patterson ( Ralph), Nephews Mike Patterson, (Cathy), Mark Patterson (Cylie), Neice Colleen Swearengen (Bryan), great nephews and neices, Amy, Kyle, Nick and Alicia. John was a devoted father and grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved to take long mountain drives and two of his favorite places were Estes Park and Eagle Colorado. He loved to go fishing and camping with his family and hunting with his friends. John loved spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. His hobbies were cooking and wood working. He made many items for his grandchildren and family. He is retired from Markon Manufacturing. Service will be Saturday October 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Crossroads Church of Denver. 9725 West 50th Ave, Wheatridge, Colorado 80033.
