July 10, 1952 - May 10, 2013 John Blaine Livingston, 60, of Lakewood, Colorado died Friday May 10th. John grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, attended Southwest High School and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he earned degrees in biology and geology. He moved to Colorado in 1977 to begin his career as a petroleum geologist. He worked for several exploration companies with projects located across the U.S., Canada, and Russia. John was active in professional organizations including the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Rocky Mountain Association of Petroleum Geologists. John's passions included hunting, fishing, exploring the Colorado and Wyoming backcountry, and reading. As an avid trap-shooter, he became deeply involved with Ducks Unlimited. Additionally, John played an important part in Lakewood Boy Scout Troop 814 and Venture Crew 303. Married from 1978 to 2002 to Sara Livingston (Baxter), John is survived by his son Allen Livingston of Montgomery, Texas. He also leaves two sisters, Laura Delvaux of Staunton, Virginia and Joyce Gray of Archie, Missouri. A memorial service is to be held this summer in Hume, Missouri.
