Jennie Marie Chacon

August 24, 1930 ~ September 21, 2015 Jennie Marie Chacon of Denver, born August 24th, 1930, passed away on September 21st, 2015. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 61 years, John Joseph Chacon. Also preceding her in death were her brothers Johnny, Skip, Max, Dan, and her sisters Tilly, Josephine, and Rose. She was blessed with three loving children: Phyllis Chacon, Joseph (Deanna) Chacon, and Steve (Lisa) Chacon. She was a wonderful, nurturing grandmother to Sumer Rickman, Briahna (Mitch) Miller, Daniel (Destiny) Chacon-Myers, Amanda Chacon, Frank Duran II, Tara Chacon, Erika Salazar, Caylee Chacon, Tanya Melendez, Nicholas Salinas Tafoya, and eight great-grandchildren. Jennie was honored to be the godmother to many beloved individuals. She held a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-laws Debbie and Kim Chacon and son-in-laws David Myers and Zach Rickman. She loved to cook, paint, and spend time with her family. It goes without saying that through her remarkable generosity and unwavering sense of humor, she was respected, loved, and cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy was profound and she will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:30a.m., with a reception to follow
