Jeffrey Michael Johnson

April 15, 1979 ~ April 30, 2015 On Thursday, April 30, 2015, Jeffrey Michael Johnson passed peacefully in his Denver home following a minor surgery. He had just turned 36. The beloved first grandson of Eagle, Colo.’s Phyllis Johnson and Jack Johnson (deceased), Jeffrey was born in Denver as the eldest "golden” child of Janice Rae Johnson and Michael Wesley Johnson (deceased), the “loved loved loved big brother” of Jennifer Brie Johnson and Jared Drew Johnson, and forever friend of Lisa Vela. A pillar of strength to his family and close friends, Jeffrey fought through and survived Hodgkin's Lymphoma, devoting years to medical work as a Cardiac Interventionist, with career pursuits shifting recently to finance. Jeffrey's family will host a memorial service at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 9 at the Wellshire Inn (3333 S. Colorado Blvd.) with a reception following from 5-7 p.m. at Govnr's Park Tavern (672 Logan St.). In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to the Jeffrey Michael Johnson Memorial Fund to benefit the Childhood Hematology and Oncology Association of Denver as well as the Colorado Puppy Rescue.
