Jeff S. Solnick, a long-time Transportation Manager for Coors and active member of the Golden community, passed peacefully with his wife Lisa by his side on December 10, 2019 at the age of 67. Born in New York City, Jeff moved to Colorado in the late 60s and afterwards, served in the Army. Jeff studied at universities in Colorado and married his beloved wife, partner and best friend, Lisa Black. They moved to Golden in 1994 where they started a family of weanling draft horses, malamute and husky companions, and other friendly felines. Since Jeff’s initial hiring, he excelled at several positions in Coors and was quickly promoted. He spent much of his professional career working as a Transportation Manager. Jeff dedicated 37 working years to Coors and retired in 2014 to spend more time with Lisa and her family. Jeff lovingly assisted Lisa’s parents in their twilight years. Jeff and Lisa were married and together 24 years. They spent much of their time caring for their animals in a rural and once agricultural area in Golden. In 1998, they purchased two weanling draft horses at auction and cared for them over the years. Jeff loved to go to draft horse and equipment auctions. Jeff and Lisa shared many special moments traveling through the Pacific Northwest and Canada as well as the western United States. Jeff excelled at preparing specialty grilled dishes that he often shared with family and friends. He was respected for his intelligence, kindness, and self-effacing modesty. Above all, Jeff will be remembered as a loving, kind, gentle man who would do anything for anyone. Jeff is survived by his wife Lisa and sister-in-law Linda Black.
