Jeanne Jansson Keller, age 77, died November 7, 2023 in Denver, Colorado after a courageous battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. She was born March 27, 1946 to Parley Gustav and Marian Lindsay Jansson in Murray, Utah. Over the past several years, she spent time living with each of her two sons, Clinton in Denver, and Dustin in Las Vegas. She loved and enjoyed being close to her grandchildren.
Jeanne attended public schools in Taylorsville, at Plymouth Elementary, Valley Junior High, and graduated from Granger High School in 1964. She attended Utah State University for a year taking business classes.
Jeanne had a heart of gold and was always looking out for and helping the displaced and those doing without in her circles. She was always looking for a good deal either for herself, or for someone in need around her. Before she was diagnosed with her brain tumor, Jeanne babysat some young children, which brought her such great joy, and whom she loved like her own. Her brother-in-law taught her, and her siblings, how to scuba dive and she accompanied them on fun diving trips to Mexico. She worked for several years at Pykette Manufacturing Co., sewing women’s sportswear. She saved her money to buy a Mercury Cougar that was her pride and joy at the time. The training she received in her business classes served her well in many of her ensuing jobs through the years.
She married Edward Vaughn Keller on March 7, 1973. They had two sons, Clinton and Dustin. She and Vaughn divorced in 1991. Life was not always easy for Jeanne and her boys. They each had to pull together and worked hard at keeping their family together. Jeanne’s boys and their families are her best accomplishment in this life.
She is survived by sons Clinton Keller and daughters Maddison, Adalie, and Ava; Dustin Keller (Mickey) and son Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents Parley and Marian Jansson; and 6 brothers- and sisters-in-laws.
A short graveside gathering for family and friends will take place Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Taylorsville City Cemetery located at 4567 S Redwood Road at 11:30 a.m. She will be buried there near her parents.
