Jean Marie Kann Huevelman

Jean was born in Galesburg, Illinois on February 10, 1929 to Elmer and Lysle Kann. She had an older brother(Richard) and younger sister(Marj) and younger brother(William). All preceded her in death. She married Ward T Huevelman(deceased Nov 2021) on July 7, 1951. They had sons Michael, Richard(both deceased) and James(married to Jeanette). They traveled the world extensively and lived across the United States and England. Jean started work at the phone company and went to Briar Cliff college in Sioux City, Iowa. That is where she met Ward on a blind date. Jean loved her family and friends and was happiest traveling, playing bridge, and at family events. She was the grandmother of two, Kendal and Torey who are the daughters of James and Jeanette. The grandchildren were her and Ward’s focus and love from the moment they were born. They moved to Littleton, CO to be closer to them in 2003. Retirement allowed time for more traveling that her and Ward both enjoyed. They were unassuming, loving and generous. Ward just missed the birth of their only great grandson(Jayce) born in December, 2021. Jean was blessed to have met Jayce who brought her instant joy and love. She and Ward celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary last summer. She will be missed and loved by us forever.
