Janet Sue East

Janet Sue East It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Janet Sue East, of Westminster, Colorado on November 6, 2021, at the age of 77. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Gordon; children: Carl (Michelle) and Wayne (Cinnamon); grandchildren: Peyton, Tanner, and Ainsley East; sisters Carol, and Dawn (Suzanne); as well as numerous relatives and friends. Janet was predeceased by her brothers Jim, and Johnny Wicklow; and her parents: Milton and Alberta Wicklow. Janet was born in Black Forest, Colorado, and earned a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Colorado State University, and a Master’s Degree in speech pathology from Adams State College. Janet worked for decades in La Junta and Fort Lupton, Colorado as a Speech Pathologist and spent her career helping children with mental disabilities overcome their speech challenges. Her loving and caring personality extended to animals as well. Janet had many beloved pets including several cats and multiple dogs in addition to others that she fostered. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
