January 25, 1940 - December 16, 2011 Jane Eileen KoberĀ age 71, of Westminster, CO, passed away December 16, 2011. Jane was born in Racine, WI, to Henry Kober and Frieda Seifert. Jane grew up in Hortonville, WI, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from WI State College-Oshkosh, and her Master's Degree from AZ State University. Jane began teaching high school in Manitowoc, WI. From 1969-2004, she taught and coached at Metropolitan State College in Denver. During her career, Metro honored Jane with an honorary doctorate, the title Emeritus Asst Professor of Human Performance and Sport, and induction into the Metro Athletics Hall of Fame. From 1996-2002, Jane served on Westminster's Parks and Rec Advisory Board. After retiring, Jane continued to be active, officiating volleyball, skiing, reading and traveling. Jane is survived by sister Dolores Fritzsche-AZ, brother Henry Kober-PA, nephews Tom Fritzsche-TX and Tim Fritzsche-AZ, niece Hannah-TX, and 9 great nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on January 7, 2012 at Lutheran Church of Hope, 1305 W. 10th Ave., Broomfield, CO.
