April 4, 1920 ~ March 5, 2015 Jane Clara Flynn Dempsey died March 5, 2015, at Tru Community Care Hospice Louisville, Colorado in her 94th year. She was the beloved mother of Lawrence Dempsey, Janet Axelrod, Donna Kerrigan, Susan Nelson, Ronald Dempsey, Marie McNeely, and Peter Dempsey. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Anne Dempsey, Mary Dempsey, Michael Dempsey, Lauren Axelrod, Kathryn Axelrod, Brigid Thomas, Michael Kerrigan, Jack Kerrigan and 12 great-grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her parents, husband Patrick Eugene Dempsey, brothers Thomas Flynn and Carl Flynn, sister Annie Bowie, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in law. After graduating from nursing school at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Chatham, New Brunswick, Jane married and gave her time to her faith, family, friends and neighbors. She also managed to play contract bridge at the level of a Silver Life Master. She laughed easily and lived fully. Mass of Christian Burial and Internment will occur this summer at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery. Arrangements will be under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.
