March 26, 1971 - May 16, 2012 James William Meacham "Jimmy" of Wheat Ridge, Colorado died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home. Jimmy was born at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge on March 26, 1971. He was exceptional at operating machines and equipment. Jimmy had a talent for fabricating, and his mechanical skills were second to none. He was certified in welding, all classes of materials and he also had a CDL License for operating tractor-trailers. He excelled at every place he worked and was always well liked by his employer and co-workers. Jimmy always wanted everyone to know what type of equipment or project he was working on and would often take Suzy with him on the bug rigs. Jimmy picked up on things very fast; for instance, when he assisted his dad in his water and well testing business; Jimmy became a quick study in this field. He was always ready to help anyone in need. Jimmy was very close to and always took great care of his grandma and grandpa; always helping with tasks around the house, cutting the lawn, trimming trees and so many other things. Jimmy had a passion for tropical fish; in his house there was always a fancy, well-designed fish tank for numerous exotic fish. As an avid adventurer there were very few stones he left unturned. He not only had boats, dirt bikes, three-wheelers and 4 wheel drives, but he wanted Suzy to have her own big toys so they could share in that experience. His daughter Suzy was the love of his life. In many ways Jimmy was still a child at heart. on birthdays and Christmas he would embrace the responsibility of testing the new toys of all the nieces and nephews; just to be sure they worked properly and were safe. Ironically, and to the delight of the kids,he would oftentimes find a use for the toys that they were not originally designed for. Jimmy is survived by his daughter Suzette Meacham, Mother Sherry Krueger (Ervin), Father James Meacham, Sister Michelle Hurtman (Dale), Brother Mike Krueger (Michelle), Sister Veronica Sorenson (Todd), Brother Jeffery Krueger (Shelly), Grandparents Harold and Mary Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Arvada Covenant Church, 5555 Ward Road, Arvada. A family viewing will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday.
