James Robert "Bob" King, 83, of Westminster Colorado passed away, February 9, 2018. James was born to Ernest Stansbury King and Eleanor Ready King on April 19, 1934 in Washington D.C. James graduated from McKinley Tech High School in 1952. He met the love of his life Billie Joyce Heidenreich in June 1954 and married her October 8, 1954. They celebrated 62 years of wedded bliss. Bob and Billie moved to Colorado in 1956 where they enjoyed family, fishing and camping trips. In 1965 Bob started working for IBM as a systems analyst and retired from IBM in 1985. During his tenure with IBM the family was transferred to California back to Colorado and finally to North Carolina. Bob was a true sports enthusiast and enjoyed his time off playing golf and rooting for his beloved Texas Rangers and Denver Broncos!! Even though he was technically retired Bob never truly stopped working. He and Billie opened a mom and pop video store and then he channeled his inner child and became a paper boy delivering the Concord Tribune for 23 years. In 2014 due to Billie's declining health they relocated back to Westminster and Bob began working for the Colorado Rockies, the Denver Broncos and also at Indian Tree Golf course. Bob is survived by his children Connie Easterbrook (William), Kristie Burnham, and Wayne King (Sue). His grandchildren Sherri (Bob), Alyssa (Mike), Nicholas (Brittainy), Beau (Amanda), Whitney (Nate) and Tanya. His great grandchildren Haley, Alexis, Parker, Brody, Braddock, Scarlett Grace and Logan. He was proceeded in death by his lovely bride Billie Joyce and son Mark. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association and Bob encourages everyone to give the gift of life and be an organ and tissue donor! In closing... before his death Bob requested we remind all his family and friends how much he treasured your friendships and how truly he loved each and everyone of you.
