James "Jim" Leroy Ryder

Jim LeRoy Ryder “Jim” 65 has passed away on September 18, 2017 at his home in Thornton, CO. Jim was born on November 16, 1951 to Merle and Elizabeth Ryder in Madison Minnesota. He was the fourth of six children. Jim is survived by his wife Carol Ryder of the home, three children Robert Holt of Park City, UT., Chandel Ryder of the home, Mary Ryder and husband Tony of Thornton, CO; Three step-children Cristy and Kent Walker of Idadel, OK, Cheryl Dawson of Oklahoma City, OK and Dennis and Brook Grisham of Oklahoma City, OK; the mother of his children Barbara Cornwell of Arvada, CO; four grandchildren Tommy and Kierra Brettell, Amber and Ryan Hanlon, Sarah Peterson, Alexis Holt and Teddy Jackiewice; seven step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren Kylo Brettell and Kathryn Hanlon; Three step-great grandchildren; four sisters Elaine, Linda, Judy and Shirley ; one brother Rick; father and mother in-law Farris and Jewell Ryan of Idabel, OK; many brother in-laws and sister in-laws as well as many niece’s and nephew’s. Jim has left his footprints on the hearts of many friends as well, Jim was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Elizabeth Ryder and wife JoAnn Ryder. Jim served our Country in the Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972 and was forever a Marine Semper Fi. Jim enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, hanging out with his brothers in arms, playing his music and storytelling while charming the ladies.
