James G Mason

James G. Mason 89, of Lakewood, Colorado. Born April 4, 1926 in Hartman, Colorado to Charles and Lula Mae Mason. Survived by his wife of 68 years Peggy; daughters Cathryn Lynn and Cynthia Joyce. Preceded in death by his son Jame Dale Mason; both parents; two brothers and five sisters. James lived on the prairie until he was 19 then was drafted during WWII by the United States Army. He served most of his time during the war in the Philippines. After the war he returned home and found the love of his life Peggy. They married and began their family. James was a farmer and heavy equipment operator. He owned and operatated Jim's Carpet Service and Mile Hi Carpet Service, where at the time he retired he was the oldest carpet layer at the age of 70. He then went on to be a landlord until he was 84. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial service Friday, March 25th at Grace Covenant Church 10101 W.
