February 18, 1930 - June 6, 2012 82, passed away June 6, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Louise Hooper; children Steve (Paula) Hooper, Carolyn (Steve) Coleman and Susan (Jeff) Neal; grandchildren Robin (Ron) Davis, Katie (Casey) Gustafson, Lindsay (Travis) Anderson, Bobby (Ashley) Coleman, Eric Neal, Jessica Neal; great grandchildren Hudson Davis, Mason Gustafson, Tegan Anderson, Peyton Coleman; sister in laws Carole Hooper, Shirley Thrasher; numerous nephews and nieces. Jim will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Masonic History Brother Hooper was initiated Jannuary 15, 1963, passed February 19, 1963 and raised April 2, 1963. He was twice Master of Westminster 176 then secretary and finally Chaplain of Paul Revere 130 after the merger. Member of El Jebel Shrine, Denver Consistory, Central Lodge 6 (Central City, Colorado), Union Lodge 7 (Denver, Colorado) and Memorial Lodge (Denver, Colorado). James was twice Past Worthy Patron to Loyalty #145 OES, Past Associate Guardian to Bethel #9, V.I.C.A. Sponser and loved Cub Scout Leader to Pack 317 of Westminster, Colorado. Military Service James entered active duty August 30, 1950 until July 6, 1953 in the United States Air Force as a Radar Supervisor during the Korean Conflict. James earned a National Defense Medal and his Good Conduct Medal during his service to our country. Full Masonic Funeral Rites with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force to be held at the Westminster Masonic Center at 8151 Bradburn Drive, Westminster, Colorado 80031 at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 13th, 2012.
