September 17, 1943 — July 24, 2016

Jack Lee Wright, Sr (72) of Denver, CO, died on July 24, 2016 after a long battle with Emphysema. He was born on September 17, 1943 in Ohio, the son of Lennia Wright and Calvin Coolidge Boley. He joined the Army when he was 17 years old and was eventually stationed in Germany. Upon discharge from the Army in 1963, he returned to the United States and over his lifetime worked for a variety of companies. He worked for a telephone company, a car dealership, the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, a golf course in Florida, just to name a few. He even rode the rails for a time. Jack is survived by his wife Patricia, children Tony, Stephanie, Jack Jr, Jackie, Marla and Patrick. He has many grandchildren as well. Bella, Miranda, Isaiah, Victoria, Mandy, Angel, Josie, Trisha, Nicky, Jenny, Jacob, Gracie, Richie, Armani, Alera and Dacota. His Granddog Murphy preceded Jack in death by a few days and was surely waiting for him in Heaven where he could rest on Grandpa’s knee. Before Emphysema took over Jack’s life, he was a tinkerer of sorts. A jack-of-all-trades. He knew a lot about fixing old cars and motorcycles and had a special fondness for Schwinn bicycles. He loved older Country music and Westerns. His favorite television shows included the Law and Order franchises, NCIS and many of the reality shows such as American Pickers and the various shows centered around hunting and rebuilding cars. His loved to watch sports, especially Golf, Boxing and UFC fights on television, sometimes to the chagrin of his family who didn’t always want to watch golf or boxing or UFC fights. Jack is no longer bound to an oxygen tank and numerous medications to help him breathe. He is free now and resting easily in Heaven with his various family members who were there before him, including many dogs, a cat and a horse that he shared his life with.
