Isabella "Betty" Martinez

Isabella “Betty” Martinez, 60, was called by the Lord to enter the kingdom of Heaven on the morning of May 18, 2016 at the Denver Hospice Care Center after a two-year long battle with kidney cancer. She is survived by her children: Isabella (Andy), Jamie (Sonny), and James Jr. Grandchildren: Denny, Alesya (Dominic), Ariel, Arianna, Yasmeen, Dominic, Xavier, and Aileah. Great Grandchildren: Dominica, and Dominic Jr. Mother: Della Rubalcaba Siblings: Robert (Melinda), Carol, Diane (Jerry), Maggie (Tom), Wilfreta (Rod), Veronica (Joel), Demetrius (Kitty), Dello, Patrick. And numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Born on February 18, 1956 in Montrose, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Rubalcaba and Della Rubalcaba. She grew up in Olathe, Colorado, and she married the late Jimmie Martinez on June 28, 1975. They had three children. She had a gentle soul, and she was a hard worker throughout her entire life. She was strong woman and an inspiration to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. One of her greatest gifts was how she invested everything she had in the people she loved. She loved serving the Lord, spending time with her family and friends, and gardening. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 27 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Ministries 875 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226. There will be a reception following the services at New Hope. The family asks to please bring a dish to share.
