Irene Rose Montoya

Irene Rose Montoya, 65, of Denver, Colorado passed away on October 23 rd , 2016. Born August 28 th , 1951 in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of Florentino and Mary Montoya. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jeanne Martinez, brother, Leopold Montoya, brother-in- law Henry Cisneros, and nephew Ronald Montoya. She is survived by her daughter Jamie Montoya-Padilla (Rick), her sons Lawrence Suazo (Shantelle) and Donnie Griego (Kayla). Ten Grandchildren, Jade (Michael), Izaiah, Destiny, Donovan, Naviana, Adrian, Jaiden, Kayonnie, and MaryKate. Her brothers, Anthony Montoya (Madeline), Robert Montoya (Isabel), sisters, Benita Montoya (Tom), Rosemary Trujillo (Paul), and Rita Montoya (Lorenzo), and Michelle Thompson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Memorial mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Oratory 3325 Pecos Street, Denver, Colorado 80211 at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday November 1st. Celebration of life to immediately follow the mass. Please join her family at The VFW Hall, 4747 W. Colfax Ave. Denver, Colorado 80204. Irene Montoya was known by many, who affectionately called her; Rene, Renes, and Miss Irene. She loved to cook, dance, and be the life of the party. She was a compassionate women filled with unwavering strength and love for all those she knew. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
