Ida Jimenez Kent

Ida Jimenez Kent, age 74, passed away in Arvada Colorado, but Tucumcari was her Home. She Moved April of 2015 after a long battle of ovarian cancer and other medical issues. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 2nd. Ida was born November 30th, 1941. Her parents were Epimino and Rita Jimenez. She worked for ENMRSH many years and was a nanny to special needs adults. She worked for numerous Tucumcari families as their housekeeper and did odd jobs to provide for her six kids she lovingly called her “Six Pack” and her Grandson. Ida attended End of Time Ministries in Tucumcari. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and The Tucumcari Senior Citizens Center. She also served Commodities, Meals on Wheels and was a Senior Companion. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed getting together with friends to play Canasta and meeting for coffee. She was known for her outgoing personality, high energy, daily stubbornness and epic dimples. She did not like to say “Good Bye” instead she would say “See you later.” Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, one sister, one grandson as well as Bubbles and JR. Ida is survived by her “Six Pack”, Sammy Kent (Trina), Yvonne Kent, Yvette Kent, Rita Mae Kent-Rea (Shane), Cleo Kent-Vandersalm (Tim), Anthony “Bam-Bam” Kent, and her grandson Nathan Kent. Surviving siblings include Joe Jimenez (Angie), Beulah Salas, Patricia Anne Benson (Frank) and Rita Montiel(Adolph. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, 11 other grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many other family members she adored.
