June 15, 1931 - August 30, 2013 Hubert Blehm, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday August 30, 2013 of gastro-intestinal cancer. Survived by his daughters; Debbie (Perry) Meskimen and Gail Blehm (Curt Caudle), and daughter-in-law, Jeannette Rolf. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Nadine (Witman), son; Les and daughter; Linda. Hugh was born in Ft. Collins, Colorado on June 15, 1931. He was the son of Chris and Anna (Deines) Blehm and brother of Vera Blehm Hergert. He graduated from Timnath High School, class of 1949. Hubert and Nadine were married in Ft. Collins on November 23, 1952 and moved to the Denver area a few years later. Hugh, (while always a farmer at heart), excelled in the construction industry, contributing to building Perlmack Homes, numerous Empire Savings branches, Southwest Plaza Mall, Northglenn Mall and numerous other commercial structures. After retiring from Perlmack Construction, he became a licensed Financial Planner. Love of God and Family was his guidepost. In his "spare" time, he was very active in support of Valley Lutheran Church, and privately built garages and refinished homes. He cultivated incredible vegetable gardens, lawns and flowers. A disciplined but loving husband and father, his wisdom and wit will be deeply missed by many. Service to be held Saturday 9/7/13, 10:30am with Visitation time starting at 9:30am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth Blvd. Arrangements made by Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home and Colorado Crematory.
