Hilbert Martinez

Hilbert Martinez went home to the Lord Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Hilbert was preceded in death by his parents Delfina and Jose Martinez; his brothers Teodoro “Ted” Martinez and Raymond Martinez. Hilbert is survived by his sons Hilbert J, (Kristi), Florentino C. & Jose M. Martinez; brother Jose P. (Dolores) Martinez, sister Anita Martinez, sister-in-law Bonita Martinez (Ted) and Uncle Ambrose Lujan. Also surviving Hilbert are his grandchildren Kiersten M Diaz, Florentino C Martinez Jr, Chantel A Martinez, Aubrey N Deleon, Jayden J Martinez, Nathaniel Martinez, Brianna Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Aliya Ramos Martinez, Kaylee Martinez, Emmanuel Martinez, Joshua Martinez & Alissa Martinez. Great grandson Castiel C Wilson. Hilbert is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & numerous friends. Hilbert was born on February 19, 1949 and raised in Denver, CO. Hilbert was a one of a kind, a fun loving spirit who loved his kids and grandkids more than life. He gave more than love to his family and friends. Hilbert was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for 3 years. He served in Korea at the time of the Vietnam War. He loved photography and would always be with camera in hand at any family event. He enjoyed his family and loved to get together for barbeques and just hang out. Hilbert’s service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28th at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church 695 Julian St Denver CO 80204. Viewing will start at 9am, Rosary will begin at 10am following by a Mass at 10:30am. Burial will be at Fort Logan at 12:30pm 4400 W Kenyon Ave Denver CO 80236. Hilbert will be buried with military honors. A reception will follow at the Skyline Hall, 158 S Federal Blvd, Denver CO 80219.
