October 13, 1949 - November 19, 2012 Henry Walter "Walt" Swadley was born on October 13, 1949 in Cumberland, Maryland, and passed on November 19, 2012, in Thornton, Colorado. He was 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julia Swadley. Walt is survived by his children, Rachel, 20; Evan, 17; Claire, 14; their mother, Barbara; and his dog best friend, Zoey. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by a large group of nieces and nephews, as well as several other extended family members whom he loved dearly. Walt was not only an outstanding father but a remarkable person; he was full of compassion, the definition of selfless. Many made note of his tough exterior yet soft, warm heart. Everything he ever did was out of regard for his loved ones. Walt was a man who would give his last dollar or his last crumb just to see someone else smile. Though he left this life sooner than anyone could have imagined, he made a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of all he met. He is without pain and has finally achieved the peace he wished for so long. May he fly free.
